Osmanthus Flower Extract

Golden Osmanthus has been used in Japanese and Chinese skin care for thousands of years. Have you ever been to Eastern Asia and realized that people seem to age slower than usual? Yeah they've got the whole skin care thing down.
Golden Osmanthus has been the subject of hundreds of clinical trials, in both China and the United States, proving again and again the useful and unique properties it brings to the table.
Let's take a look at the benefits.

Glycerin

Glycerin is widely regarded as the most effective ingredient for moisturizing the skin and retaining water in the epidermis.
Acting as an emollient, glycerin is able to soothe and smooth the skin by maintaining water balance. Not only does glycerin act as a barrier against water loss, but it also is able to moisturize the skin by drawing up moisture from the air into the epidermis.

Cyclopentasiloxane

The main function of Cyclopentasiloxane is the addition of a layer over the epidermis, giving this ingredient skin protectant properties.

Moreover, Cyclopentasiloxane is widely known for removing wrinkles and skin blemishes on top of locking in moisture with a protective layer.

Cyclohexasiloxane

The purpose of Cyclohexasiloxane is to add a silky moisturizer into our formulation and help with irritation and redness.
Cyclohexasiloxane forms an invisible film on the skin which allows the passage of important nutrients while inhibiting the loss of water.

Polydimethylsiloxane

Polydimethylsiloxane is the primary ingredient in our formulation designed for skin protection. One of the most important functions of a good moisturizer is an equally strong ability to fight against external drying agents.

P-Hydroxyacetophenone

This ingredient is found naturally in cloudberries and is an excellent antioxidant, eliminating free radicals.
Moreover, P-Hydroxyacetophenone is an effective anti-irritant as it protects against oxidative damage.

Methylparaben

Although a controversial ingredient, we at Manda's Garden have decided that the pros of methylparaben far outweigh the cons.

For one, the highest law of the land, USFDA, has listed methylparaben to be recognized as safe for cosmetic use. This being said, many studies which show methylparaben to be an irritant use very large dosages of methylparaben, whereas we only use 1/1000 of the dosage they use. This allows us to obtain the preserving effect while eliminating any potential drawbacks of methylparaben.

Methylparaben has long been recognized as the most natural, gentle, and sensitive preservative, and after extensive research, the product development team at Manda's Garden has concluded that methylparaben is a worthwhile addition to preserve the freshness of our lotion.
